Kilkenny lose in Thurles

* It's all over in Thurles where Tipperary have beaten Kilkenny  by  1-14 to 0-13.

The  game was not one for the purists as both teams appeared to be ring rusty in early season. Defences dominated throughout and in a nail biting finish when temprs boiled  over, Tipp did the business.

* With just an hour gone, Tipperary still lead by 1-11 to 0-12.

Tipperary are ahead by 1-7 to 0-8 in the National Hurling League at Semple Stadium, Thurles.

It was 1-6 to 0-6 at the break, in favour of Kilkenny. The second half  is only minutes old. It is now 1-9 to 0-9 after 47 minutes.
